The IQ-Net programme of applied research and debate is centred on a bi-annual conference for network members. Papers are prepared by EPRC as the basis for discussion at each meeting, bringing together comparative experience from across the EU. These include regular updates of progress with the programmes and in-depth reports on specific themes (e.g. evaluation and monitoring, State aid and Cohesion policy programmes, the use of financial instruments, Smart Specialisation strategies).
The next conference will take place on 13-15 June 2018 in Vienna, hosted by the secretariat of the Austrian Conference on Spatial Planning (ÖROK). The main theme of the conference will be “The territorial dimension in Cohesion policy: revisiting ITIs, CLLD and urban development” (working title).
Previous IQ-Net Conferences have been hosted in Leoben, Semmering, Schloss Seggau and Krems (Austria), Antwerp, Brussels and Grobbendonk (Belgium), Prague (Czech Republic), Aalborg and East Jutland (Denmark), Oulu and Tampere (Finland), Bordeaux and Strasbourg (France), Aachen, Dortmund, Gelsenkirchen, Magdeburg and Saarbrücken (Germany), Athens (Greece), Como and Artimino (Italy), Gdańsk and Katowice (Poland), Algarve and Norte (Portugal), Laško (Slovenia), Åre, Fyrstad and Luleå (Sweden) and Glasgow, Cardiff, Cheshire, New Lanark, Newcastle upon Tyne, Stirlingshire and Swansea (UK).
